Light at the End of the Tunnel

Despite the mild winter (so far) in Chicago I've been laid low by a cold that just won't quit. My energy is slowly coming back so there is a light at the end of this tunnel!

Our monthly winter-Monday sketch group met at Union Station. It was strangely quiet and empty – the station not the group! The group was small in number but, as usual, animated with enthusiasm. The feeling of emptiness and quiet was magnified by disappearing holiday decorations. This sketch shows it seems that I always start out aiming to tackle the architecture but end up people watching and drawing!

Belated but hearty Happy New Year to all!

good to see your cold seemingly did not affect your creativity as your drawing is as great as always.

Hi Adorable painting. New header, looks good,a very tidy drawing spot. My art space is quite a mess.
Yes the midwest winter, thus far, has been very agreeable, and to think it is nearly the end of Jan.! I love winter but this has been a great one for walking my new pup!. ( i haven't visited you site in a while so the header is new to me) I plan on visiting more.

Ah, but the people are so much fun and the architecture is so, uh, frustrating! Love the way you suggest the forms of the people with dabes of color.
