"On the Road Again"

These are the last of the most recent travel sketches. On the road to Ohio, a seven hour drive, we ran into lake effect snow. The first snow of the season for us.

Since we moved to the midwest - twenty five years ago(!) - I've been fascinated with the skies. I remember my first impression-the sky is so big and the trees are so small!

  2. LOL-It was "cinnabar" and it gave me a color boost that first very gray winter.

  3. I love these-the lines, the light washes; they're beautiful, cool and minimal.

  5. What a great idea for a series! These are lovely. I remember feeling that the sky was bigger when I lived in New Mexico too - but we always asked ourselves - in which direction?
I also agree with Suzanne about the presentation of your work. This is a beautiful blog.

  6. Your pages are wonderful. I love your style, sober and refined (hope this is the right word... found it in the dictionary), and the elegant colors. Love the pages below, too, the dancer, the lighthouse, beautiful!
