K.I.S.S.



E.B. White said, "I arise in the morning torn between a desire to save the world and a desire to savor the world. It makes it hard to plan the day." I've always been a subscriber to the K.I.S.S. philosophy. Keep it simple, stupid. Lately though, I've realized how many simply beautiful things I miss. It is part of my new year intentions to take time to savor the simple. EDM , Every Day Matters, is a group the whose weekly drawing challenges inspire me not only to draw but to savor and appreciate. Hmm, can I savor to save? Simple. I'll keep you posted-LOL.

    Lovely drawing, it is good to sit down and just draw, simply because it is an edm challenge.

    Good for you for tacking an egg carton and eggs. Simple subject maybe, but difficult to render convincingly. Happy groundhog day!

    Love this, Barbara. Wonderful colors, texture and shadow. I agree with Karen, I also love shadows. So why aren't I doing this weeks EDM challenge?

    Okay -- I found it -- your source of inspiration. I love the philosophy, and the slogan: Savor to Save. It has a depth of meanings...

    Beautiful drawing--you've really met your goal to see the beautiful in the everyday. I would never have thought of an egg carton as a subject, but now that you've done it, I see the appeal! It's almost like a mountain landscape! This drawing opens eyes!
