How'd that happen?
It seems I've been stopping at Starbucks for a moment to sketch as much as for the coffee! This one's on Rush Street. There was some good news in the paper this week. "My" Borders on Michigan Avenue was do to close this month but they've decided to keep it open for another year. I have no clue why. The second floor café has a great view of the shoppers and tourists on Chicago's Magnificent Mile and when you can get a seat the unsuspecting models are endless!
Yay! You're back! I love these bookstores and coffee shops; what would we do without them, even if we aren't always there to buy!
ReplyDeleteThat second floor view sounds so cool! I've been having the hardest time lately getting at the right vantage in these places to sketch people (or maybe its just a shy phase I'm going through). Nice pencil sketch!
ReplyDeleteOh, to live in Chicago - all those art stores and art opportunities! Great sketch!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a great place to hang out - wish I could pop in and sketch with you!
