We'll be heading out to San Francisco for a few days in April. I've pulled out some old SF travel logs and sketch books to browse through and possibly post a few oldies. Lo and behold, Cathy (Kate) Johnson (AKA Kate the Great to me) posted a great sketch of flowering tea. You can see her sketch here. Serendipitous!
These are two sketches done in 2007 in a Moleskine City Notebook, San Francisco.

Love these, Barbara! I think it was Carol Gillott, of Parisbreakfast fame, who first introduced me to that tea. Cool, n'est ce pas?
ReplyDeleteWell, how cool, Barbara! I guess it would be more expected where you are than in the Midwest...I like your sketch!

Love the tea sketch. I've sketched passengers on a plane as well-isn't as easy at one might think considering they are a captive audience. I like the back of the head of the guy in front - the folds of skin - he has character even from the back. :)
