Summer in the City
Every summer I'm delighted all over again by the incongruous palm trees on Oak Street Beach!
We had a wonderful Fourth of July, sitting under those palm trees with family in Chicago, enjoying the beach, a delicious picnic and fireworks.
I hope your day was as happy and safe.

That is pretty amazing to think of palm trees there! These look so tropical and lovely.
ReplyDeleteDelightful sketches! Sounds like you had a fabulous time.
ReplyDeleteNice sketches! Thanks for posting them also in the "Beach Sketches" group on flickr.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I have such a bad habit when commenting of hitting enter without waiting to see if I entered the word verification correctly, that I think a lot of my comments never get posted. Because I really feel like I commented on this already! (This happens to me a lot...not seeing my comments. So, I'm pretty sure it is just me!)
ReplyDeleteI think these are both wonderful sketches. They look so natural and loose. Almost effortless. I'd like to get to where you are!
These are beautiful sketches - love the subdued colors and the way they blend. I also love the way you set the scenes on the page.
ReplyDeleteWonderful sketches. I love the fun, free feeling of them.
