#9, #9, #9 One Watercolor (Um Every Two Weeks?) a Day

Maybe it's a cop-out but I've decided to just enjoy the process of the exercises in One Watercolor a Day and not make myself crazy. So I'm on #9.  I took a walk to Washington Square Park on this gray, 28° spring-day. Pigeons provided just about the only color but it was beautiful and iridescent and I'm smiling as I write this.

  2. Love your pigeon… and somewhere in the pile on my table is the glazing landscape I started, but only did one layer… number 6 I think… so I'm with you on not making yourself crazy but enjoying the exercises as you can. Sketchbook School (Danny Gregory's online class) starts next week and I don't want to fall behind on that one.

  3. This is absolutely beautiful!! Such a stunning grey!

I had to laugh, with the one watercolor every two weeks. I have entered the 30 paintings in 30 day challenge twice now. Each time I did one. Sigh.

  5. I love your drawing. Love pigeons I think they get bad press. On a recent trip to the UK I was fascinated, much to the woe of the locals, however they all looked so fat and glossy at the end of summer, very healthy and bigger than the kind we get in Australia. I think you caught the essence of the creature and my hat is off to you. Don't worry about a watercolour a day... at least you are doing something!
