Doodling and Dawdling

I am the world's best procrastinator when it comes to keeping my studio/office straightened! Now that it's beginning to look more like a storage room than a work space I guess I should take action and get it done. Rediscovering little bits of inspiration that I found and saved make for a very slow process! Funny, I'm really a very organized person in other aspects of my life.

Stop doodling and dawdling, Barbara, and get back to work. Just do it!

  1. I just found your blog (via flickr!). You have a lovely style of drawing and I wish you could teach me the secret of your loose lines!!! Fabulous!

  2. I know that for me, there is always a certain amount of chaos in my creative space. I get fed up with it from time to time and do a bit of a clearout but in a very short time it is back to the way it was. As long as I can find my tools quickly I'm not too worried. It's when the avalanche comes rolling down off the table that I really start having problems, when you can't find your tools and start having to purchase things AGAIN. Then I do the complete clear out and start over again with a pristine space-promising myself that I will stay organized this time...yeah right... Good luck on your organizing efforts!

  4. I will clean up my studio and in a heartbeat it is a mess again. It really starts to get to me when I can't find something I'm looking for...that makes me crazy.
PS: Your sketch is really nice!
