Whenever my husband goes away on business I indulge in a passion we don't share, baked sweet potatoes. Sometimes I eat them with sour cream and nutmeg (the spice not my cat, though she does keep me company) and sometimes just with butter.
oooh, that looks yummy. i thought it was baked pumpkin at first, i think just because of the time of year. i'll have to try that ... i've always made candied sweet potatoes at thanksgiving, but never baked. thanks for the idea.

That looks very good. I bake them till they drip their sugar into the oven and then eat them plain. The addition of the grapes finished your picture.
ReplyDeleteLooks very good! We grow "Okinawan" sweet potatoes, with deep purple flesh and I love them, just as you've described.
ReplyDeleteoh, that does sound good. We are big fans of sweet potato fries here. Roasted though, not really fried. Lovely painting.
ReplyDeleteOooh! MY! Does that ever look delicious...well done! :)
ReplyDeleteUmmmm...one of my favorites! You did such a great job that I am off to the store to buy some more sweet potatoes for my dinner!!

Beautiful! I love baked sweet potatoes, too--but I never put sour cream on one either--I'll have to try it. They're so good for you, too--great job!
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence! My husband, who almost is never gone, is visiting his dad for a week, and I've had two baked sweet potatoes so far!

It looks delicious! And the way you drew the grapes is just amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful - I love the colors you've used here. It could almost be a Thanksgiving card - maybe for vegans???
