The Windy City
They say "if you don't like the weather in Chicago wait fifteen minutes." Well it mightn't be better but it will be different!
These are two small (1 1/2 x 2 in.) sketches. I was playing around with gouache. I hope to do a lot more with it.

Great little sketches--so energetic and spontaneous. I love the electric blue in the bottom one!

Lovely! Especially like the one with the blues... and the loose framework.
ReplyDeleteThe sunset/sunrise piece really captures the beauty of the bleakness of Chicagoland winters...When I lived there I remember falling in love with the skyline and the outlines of the bare tree branches with the sun. Nice capture.
