More from the Seashore

These are few more sketches from Longboat Key. The top one was done from Starbucks on St. Armands Circle in the morning. The second one was on the beach in the afternoon and the third was done one morning-that's Sarasota in the distance. They were done in a Moleskine watercolor sketchbook. In the bottom two some sand got mixed in with the paint and added really nice texture. I love happy accidents.

  1. They are all wonderful, but I really like that last one, with the house and Sarasota in the background. It seems so detailed for being so small!

  2. I love the one in the middle, the grasses, but also the bottom one speaks to me as well. Great sketches! *longing for the seashore....*

  3. Like them all, but the second one with grasses is especially nice, has feeling and emotion to it.

  4. I love them! I agree with Alex that the second one is especially packed with emotion - I think I smell the salt air......

  6. I am going with Alex and Casey on this one. I like all of them - makes me want to go to Florida! Oh, I'm already here. But I love the second one! The second one has jabs that make it lively and what on earth did you do to create the speckled texture on the inside? And there must be 5 colors in there! Love it!
