Getting There!


I'm catching up slowly but surely! I really struggled with the watercolor on this one. I was going for an Asian feel with the text running in vertical columns behind the image. Not quite there but a good idea. The text on the fortune paper makes the curve more believable. I like that.

I also like the fact that these, though still small, are larger than I usually work. One of my goals this year is to increase the size of my work.

I've got one more to do before tomorrow's assignment is posted-I don't think that's going to happen with three grandchildren visiting today!

  3. You may be catching up but these pages are real gems! I'm so glad that I found them. I really like what you've done with the lettering and vertical columns. Very creative!

    I'm in Laure's "Explorations" class now and I'm about 8 assignments behind.... but I'll keep going forward!!

  5. I think this looks gorgeous, Barbara! I was immediately drawn to this. Plus, I happen to love that quotation--I use it all the time with prospective students I speak with...you're doing beautiful things here.
