A Pause in My Running

This was a short pause in this week's hectic schedule to take my granddaughter to cross country practice. It was a nice way to spend some time soaking up a little fall-like sun and fresh air. I did this quick sketch (15 minutes including assorted chat breaks) with a Tombow marker and water brush. It was nice to leave the running to others! Ahh.

  1. I love the sepia quality of this. Sometimes Tombow markers run and sometimes they don't I can't decide if it is the paper that makes the difference or how slow/fast I apply the waterbrush. Your sketch has just the right amount of water soluble goodness going on.

    1. Thanks, Elaine. I find that the Tombow markers become less water soluble the longer they're on the paper. Sometimes, if I want more shading than the line will give me, I'll restate the line with the marker and add the water right away.
