Teaching an Old Dog New Tricks

It was a great morning sketching then I spent the afternoon trying to figure out how to post efficiently to EDM and flickr. I still don't have the hang of it.

Here are the sketches.

This one started out as a sketch of my hand but I was sidetracked by the bracelets.

Chocolate is difficult to paint but it sure is delicious!. These are incredible taste combinations - chocolate with bacon, with wasabi and with chilies.

That's three down and 175+ to go!

  1. The bracelet looks beautiful. And the chocolate looks just great, made my mouth water badly!

  2. Actually I liked your chocolates much better before I read the descriptions - they look beautiful and delicious but --chocolate and bacon?? I don't think that will be a favorite of mine- Like the bracelets with hand also nice work

  3. Love your selective coloring of the bracelet. So often I forget that there is an option of "not coloring" the whole image.

Oh, and as for the chocolate...yum.

  4. Emphasizing the bracelet with color really made a nice drawing of your hand. Your hand is there for sure but not dominant.

I've had chocolate with chiles; it had a nice kick but I'll skip the bacon! I find with these chocolates, you don't buy a box but only a few like you drew. You rekindled my stop at a similar candy shop. Now my mouth is watering!

  5. These are both lovely drawings. I agree, the chocolates are stunning and I really like the sketch of your hand with the bracelet - very elegant.

  7. The chocolates look very edible, even if strangely flavoured.
